I was never a fan of David Cook. Whenever he'd take the stage on American Idol, I'd go somewhere far from the TV and do something else, same as what I do when Carly Smithson sings. I don't know why, but I seem to dislike the common favorites. Anyway, I've always found David Cook a bit too.. cocky. Since day 1, I found his facial expressions kind of annoying, and his replies to the judges' comments have always been said so smugly. But then he sang Always Be My Baby last night. MARIAH CAREY's Always Be My Baby. And the first thing I did after American Idol was grab our own microphone and sing the same song on karaoke. Doo doo doop dum, doo doo doop doodoop da dum. We were as one, baaaabe. Seriously, it had that effect on me. I sooooo wanted to be his baby during that full minute and 30 seconds of pure bliss. HAHAHA :)) But yeah, I take back all my rash opinions about him. I'm convinced that he really, really, really does rock :D
On a completely different topic, I just wanna say that review started last Monday, and since then I've been feeling like such a dummy. Our classmates all seem to know what the teacher's blabbing about while we (joy, mels, tin,kc,nix, chex, mariza) Theresians stare at the white board, bewildered during the first hours of the morning and completely puzzled during the latter part of each session. I mean, we know zilch about Discriminants and Roots. And I didn't even know there were theorems on getting absolute values in inequalities. Anyhow, I think we'll survive. We've got the books and everything, so all we need is extra nerd power to be able to step up to those gruesome Math problems :)) Oh and Science starts tomorrow, so I'm hoping things will start to get better :) By the way, we're friends with some of our classmates already! Wala lang, sharing. :) I'm hoping that after this week of adjusting to our review schedule, I'd be able to catch up on my reading. So far, I've only finished THREE books this summer--The Lovely Bones, Twilight, and The Other Boleyn Girl. I'm still reading Flush by Carl Hiaasen. After that, I still have The Kite Runner and New Moon which are still in their plastic bags, untouched in my room. Mama and I watched The Other Boleyn Girl last Saturday, and it was good. The book's way better, but I was relieved that they didn't change the story too much. And I doubted they would anyway, on account of the fact that it's historical. It's too bad they didn't show much of William Stafford and Mary's love story though. It was soooo cute in the book.
Okay, that's all. Update you soon :D
