Funny thing happened today. We were walking to Gate 7 at dismissal and as we reached the Prep area, some random kid wearing the green Prep uniform and holding a stick of melting Twin Popsies tapped me on the back and said, "Ate! Parehas tayo ng bag!!!" :)) She looked so amazed, I couldn't help but laugh. So I said, "Patingin!" and she turn her back a little so I could see a slightly smaller version of my Tinkerbell backpack. Then I went ahead and gave her a high five.
I have a LOT of vivid Prep memories, one of which I could include among the funniest things that ever happened to me. When I was in Prep, I used to buy the 5-peso dirty ice cream from the manong near the Grade School canteen EVERY single day. So one day, after I've procured my favorite sweet fix, I started walking to Gate 7 to wait for my sundo (yeah, Gate 7 ako buong STC life ko :P). I was happily licking/biting/chewing the top scoop of my ice cream when it started to rain. In panic, I started running and to my dismay, all the scoops of ice cream had fallen and were gone by the time I reached the gate. It was then that my classmate saw me, holding what was left of it--the cone.
And then she went, "Uyy, Patricia, MAGKANO PAG APA LANG?" =))
Haaaay. Prep days. Back when things were a lot less complicated, back when all we had to worry about were such shallow things like unsharpened pencils, missing IDs, uneven pigtails, etc. Now there's the ACET, the ACET, the ACET, and uhhhhh... let's see, the ACET.
Sooohooo yeah. Mag-aral na tayo, game!
K. Bye :))
