It's friday. Friday night. I feel like such a loser, sitting here in front of the computer instead of, I don't know, going out somewhere. Cause that's what regular teenagers do, right? Try so hard to look grown up, act grown up. Cause it's cool. Hahaha, I don't make sense at all. But the thing is, I'm not regular. I'm PATETIK. I wanna go out badly. I wanna go out, be free, roam wild. LABO. MAJOR. Oo na. Haha! Pero okay lang, kasi wala pa namang may alam ng blog na 'to. It hasn't been advertised on ym or friendster or multiply. Sooo, I can write what I want. No editing here baybeh. Speaking of editing, I can't wait till the mag comes out! As in. Sa 5 years na pagiging part ng Theresian Mag, ngayon lang ako sobrang naeexcite na makita yung product of our labor! Kasi mahirap talaga siya gawin.Lalo na ngayon for the lay-out artists. Tsk.

ANYWAY. Gusto kong mag-168. Sobrang gusto ko. As in, gustong gustong gusto kong makakita ng tiangge at haplus-haplusin ang kanilang mga malalambot at samut saring tela na tinitinda. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaad. I'm bored out of my skull. Oooh by the way, have I mentioned anything about my lifestyle-make over? Wala lang, kasi I figured that although I'm not overweight or anything... I mean, although my weight seems pretty healthy, I'M NOT. I just realized we should seriously be watchful of the things we eat. I hadn't thought about how much junk food I eat, how many glasses of soda I mindlessly drink. And it's wrong!!! I learned that a person should only take in 2,000 calories a day to maintain his weight. You know how much calories there are in a single cup of rice? 300! A can of Coke? 280 (according to Mama)!! Grabe talaga. And I don't think I even burn more than a hundred calories on a regular day. This is so wrong. This is why many people die early! They don't eat right, they end up obese, and die cause of heart attacks (which could be caused by a blocked vein that couldn't pump blood into the heart. reason? OIL, demmet.) or diabetes. And this is why I'm making a conscious effort to revamp my lifestyle and eat properly. This is no diet. This is not me trying to get thin. This is most definitely not anorexia. I want to be healthy! Because of that, I'm also trying to develop this new habit of drinking MILK TEA every night. I got the idea from Azta Urban Salon (haha. shameless plugging first. visit the salon! they have four branches now: Metrowalk, katipunan, eastwood--just right above starbucks, and robinsons metroeast. besides the great service they also give out free drinks! and that is where the milk tea comes in). If you want to try it, this is what I do:


-buy Lipton Yellow Label tea
-boil a cup of milk (if you want the drink hot. if not, don't boil. add ice instead. duh. haha)
-dip one packet of tea into the cup of milk
-wait 2 minutes
-add a teaspoon of sugar (i find the tea too bitter, so i do this)
-mix the whole thing and drink up

It also has this list of foods and how much calories they're equivalent to. But remember that what matters even more is not how much calories you take in, but the kind of food you eat. Try to substitute your usual snacks with things that are a bit more nutritional. Like instead of eating a pack of Sumo (140 calories, and it doesn't even satisfy hunger!), try a banana instead. Haha! (That was for you, nicole torres) I'm trying to eat more fruits and fish and veggies.. okay, not vegetables. But I do eat a lot of fruits!
